The representative of the Sadiqoon, Ahmed Al-Moussawi, revealed Today (Tuesday) the existence of opposition from some blocs within the Shiite component to including the Popular Mobilization Law in the parliament session, and while he considered the matter a dangerous precedent, he held those blocs responsible for obstructing the passage of the law and not doing justice to the Mujahideen of the Popular Mobilization.
Al-Moussawi said during a press conference held inside the parliament building, regarding the developments related to the Popular Mobilization Law, that there is opposition from some blocs within the Shiite component to including the Popular Mobilization Law on the session’s agenda, considering this a dangerous precedent for which those parties bear responsibility before the Iraqi people and the fighters who sacrificed for the homeland.
Al-Moussawi expressed his surprise at the absence of the representative of the Popular Mobilization Authority from the parliament session dedicated to this file.
He added that some parties claiming to defend the Popular Mobilization Forces did not attend the session and did not agree to include the law, which raises questions about the seriousness of their support for this institution that played a crucial role in protecting Iraq.
Al-Moussawi also called on all political blocs to return the favor to the sons of the Popular Mobilization Forces by voting on their law, stressing that this step represents loyalty to their sacrifices and a guarantee of their legitimate rights.
