Al-Halawi: We may announce the “Alliance of the Sadiqoon ” soon after some forces join us.

The head of the Sadiqoon parliamentary, Habib al-Halawi, confirmed on Monday that the Shiites were and still are the strong and main actor in the Iraqi political scene, stressing the unity of their position and their influence on the country’s fateful decisions.
Al-Halawi pointed out that some Shiite MPs expressed greater conviction in the general amnesty law compared to the personal status law, which reflects the legislative priorities at the current stage.
Regarding the corruption file, he explained that the settlement with the corrupt is related to time and not money, stressing that any corrupt person who wants to be included in the amnesty must return all the looted money, indicating the need to preserve public money and not be lenient with those involved in corruption cases.
Regarding the electoral law, Al-Halawi decided his bloc’s position by saying: “Our decision is to keep the current electoral law,” stressing that all forces, except for the State of Law, do not want to amend it.
In the context of talking about political alliances, Al-Halawi revealed the possibility of announcing the “Al-Sadiqoon Alliance” after some forces join it, in a step that reflects new trends within the political arena.
On the other hand, the MP renewed his position on the Prime Minister, indicating that Al-Sudani is still a son of the Coordination Framework, confirming the continuity of his connection to the political component from which he emerged.
