The fourth session of the International Book Fair in Najaf witnessed a prominent participation by the “Mothul” Cultural Foundation, one of the cultural assistant institutions in the Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq, where the foundation’s publications and specialized centers were displayed in its own pavilion.
The Foundation’s statement said that the exhibition witnessed a large turnout of visitors who expressed their great admiration for the pavilion, praising the diversity of publications that meet various cultural and intellectual needs. Visitors also expressed their great appreciation for the importance of these publications.
For his part, the Foundation’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Ahmed Redha Al-Moumen, confirmed that this participation comes from the Foundation’s belief in the importance of an active presence in the cultural arena, including book fairs, in order to contribute to confronting the multi-faceted cultural invasion that Iraqi society is exposed to. He explained that the Foundation seeks to fill the intellectual, ideological and social gaps that society suffers from.
In a related context, the official in charge of the Foundation’s pavilion at the exhibition, Amin Al-Tamimi, confirmed that the Foundation was keen to provide important titles and useful topics for readers from different categories, while providing significant support for book prices to facilitate their access to the largest possible number of readers, regardless of their ages or cultural level.
