Al-Baldawi: Al-Sadiqoon will prevent any attempts to obstruct the Popular Mobilization Law … This is a red line.

Mohammed al-Baldawi, spokesman for the Sadiqoon parliamentary bloc, affirmed on Friday that victory over terrorism would not have been achieved without the blood of the righteous martyrs and the blessed fatwa. He emphasized the importance of supporting the families of the martyrs, especially on this blessed day, “International Quds Day”.
During a televised interview, Al-Baldawi pointed out that there are groups working to obstruct the passage of the Popular Mobilization Forces law, stressing that the bloc will confront these efforts with all its might. He added that the law was close to being passed, but some parties deliberately obstructed it under the pretext of amendments.
He explained that the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee bears responsibility for removing the law from the parliament’s agenda, despite the urgent need for its enactment. He noted that the new law includes fundamental changes to its provisions relating to positions, legal age limits, and the organization of the work of the Popular Mobilization Forces’ directorates.
Al-Baldawi stressed the need to reinstate the Popular Mobilization Forces’ civil service and retirement law, to do justice to its members and their families. He noted that work is continuing without interruption to achieve this goal, in order to do justice to our members in the Popular Mobilization Forces and their families.
In a related context, Al-Baldawi warned of major conspiracies being hatched against the region in general and Iraq in particular, emphasizing that anyone aware of the dangers threatening the country must preserve the Popular Mobilization Forces as a powerful shield for defending the nation.
Al-Baldawi also called on all honorable individuals working in the executive and legislative institutions to preserve the rights of the Popular Mobilization Forces and guarantee their entitlements, stressing that the Popular Mobilization Forces are a red line and that tampering with the rights of its members will not be tolerated.
