The General Secretary of the Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq, Sheikh Qais Khazali, affirmed on Monday that Iraq will not be immune to the ongoing conflict in the region. He noted that the ongoing war is ideological in nature, making the possibility of new crises being created to draw Iraq into the battlefield a foreseeable possibility. emphasizing that the axis of resistance alone confronted the aggression and stood by Gaza during its ordeal.
During his Eid al-Fitr sermon, Sheikh al-Khazali stated that the enemy will not extricate Iraq from the ongoing conflict in the region. He also revealed attempts to establish a new region aimed at dividing the country, indicating that one Arab country is playing a key role in implementing this Israeli project.
His Eminence pointed out that Iraq cannot remain a spectator to what is happening in Syria, as this poses a direct and serious threat to Iraqi national security.
His Eminence stressed the need for the Iraqi state to be more proactive in addressing the ongoing events in Syria, asserting that Iraq possesses the capacity to thwart the partition project sought by Israel and the United States in cooperation with an Arab country.
His Eminence also noted that the repercussions of the war are currently expanding to include Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, and Yemen, while warning of the Turkish threat that threatens Iraq’s unity and stability.
