The General Secretary of the Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq, His Eminence Sheikh Qais Khazali, received His Excellency the President of the Republic of Iraq, Dr. Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, in his office in Baghdad on Tuesday.
A statement from Sheikh Khazali’s media office stated that the two sides discussed the current challenges facing Iraq during the meeting, stressing the importance of strengthening national unity and bringing together political forces to achieve the country’s supreme interests.
His Eminence commended the role played by the President of the Republic in guiding the political process toward strengthening national consensus, noting the need for continued dialogue among all parties to achieve the country’s supreme interest.
