Hassan Salem of the Sadiqoon on Thursday described attempts to relinquish Khor Abdullah as a “betrayal of the blood of the martyrs who sacrificed themselves for the homeland.” He argued that this vital waterway is not merely a geographical border, but rather a sovereign national artery that cannot be relinquished under any pretext.
Salem said in a post on the “X” platform that any attempt to relinquish Khor Abdullah is considered “a stab at Iraq’s history and sovereignty,” considering that this seaway is not just a border but a national sovereign artery that cannot be relinquished.
Salem pointed out that the Sadiqoon will not stand idly by in the face of any attempt at concession or compromise and will take all necessary measures to defend Iraq’s sovereignty and national rights.
