Nasik al-Zinki, a member Nasik al-Zinki, a member of parliament for the Sadiqoon, stressed on Tuesday that national sovereignty over Iraq’s land, water, and airspace represents a red line that cannot be compromised or overlooked.
In a post on the “X” platform, Al-Zinki said that the Kurdistan Workers’ Party’s announcement that it was ending its combat activity inside Iraq invalidates all the justifications Türkiye had relied on to justify its military presence inside Iraqi territory.
In this context, Al-Zinki called on the Iraqi government to take “urgent, constructive, and sober measures” to immediately evacuate all Turkish bases and forces from Iraqi territory and end “any form of flagrant violation of national sovereignty”.
Al-Zinki concluded her statement by praying that God would protect Iraq with all its components and sects, from north to south, and from east to west, and that Iraq would remain one, unified, free, sovereign, and independent.
