Sheikh Al-Khazali commemorates National Mass Graves Day and affirms that the crimes of the Baath regime are a stain on the memory of history.

The General Secretary of the Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq, His Eminence Sheikh Qais Khazali, commemorated today, Friday, the victims of the defunct dictatorial regime and its heinous crimes against the Iraqi people, coinciding with the National Day of Mass Graves. He affirmed the movement’s stand in mourning and condolence for the souls of the martyrs who were forcibly disappeared and buried in the dungeons of injustice and brutality at the hands of the fascist Ba’ath regime and the criminal Saddam tyrant.
Sheikh Khazali said in a post on the “X” platform that these massacres committed against the Iraqi people represent a bleeding wound in the conscience of humanity and a stain of shame that will not be erased from the memory of history.
His Eminence offered his sincere condolences to the families of the victims, stressing the need to redouble governmental and international efforts to uncover the fate of the missing, identify the bodies of the martyrs, and document these crimes.
His Eminence concluded by saying: May God have mercy on our righteous martyrs, and may God curse their killers and oppressors until the Day of Judgment. There is no power or strength except with God, the Highest, the Almighty.
