Al-Bujari holds the Ministry of Finance responsible for the delay in the budget schedules and confirms the harm to employees and service projects.

Zahra Al-Bajjari, head of the parliamentary Transport and Communications Committee for the Sadiqoon, held the Ministry of Finance responsible on Thursday for the delay in submitting the general budget schedules to the House of Representatives, stressing that this delay has caused significant harm to employees and a number of service projects.
Al-Bujari said in a press statement that “the House of Representatives is currently in a legislative recess, in accordance with the provisions of the constitution, and this recess represents a legal right for representatives.” She explained that “there are calls to hold an emergency session to discuss the budget schedules, but the House was surprised to not receive it yet, despite approving a three-year budget in advance”.
She added that “preparing the tables falls under the purview of the Ministry of Finance, and they should have been sent via the Cabinet to Parliament,” stressing that “the delay has caused clear confusion in a number of job files, most notably transfers, certification calculations, service, bonuses, and promotions”.
Al-Bujari pointed out that “the damage was not limited to employees alone, but also affected many of the suspended service projects that are awaiting the approval of budget schedules to begin implementation”.
She concluded by saying, “Parliament is ready to discuss the budget as soon as it receives its schedules, calling on the relevant authorities to expedite its submission to ensure the smooth running of state affairs and the preservation of citizens’ rights”.
