Engineer Zahra Al-Bajari, head of the Parliamentary Transport and Communications Committee for the Sadiqoon, confirmed on Friday that the statements made by the Secretary-General of the Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq movement, His Eminence Sheikh Qais Khazali, during her meeting yesterday, were frank, realistic, and courageous. She praised his patriotic stance in support of the interests of Iraq and its people.
Al-Bajari said in a press statement, “Sheikh Khazali, as we have always known him, spoke with precision and clarity, and expressed a responsible national vision that places the interests of Iraq and Iraqis above all else.” She noted that his speech identified the flaws in the Iraqi state with boldness and honesty.
Regarding the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) law, MP Al-Bajari emphasized that Sheikh Al-Khazali presented a clear and precise position, calling on the government to reinstate the previously withdrawn PMF service and retirement law.
She noted that the aforementioned law “has been read twice and does not require a new vote, nor is it a subject of international dispute or controversy,” emphasizing that it “guarantees the minimum required level of protection and legal guarantees for members of the Popular Mobilization Forces”.
Al-Bujari concluded her statement by saying, “Whoever sought to withdraw this law bears full responsibility before God and the people, because it has tampered with the rights of the fighters who sacrificed their blood in defense of the homeland,” emphasizing that “the Sadiqoon position is firm in supporting the Popular Mobilization Forces and their legitimate rights”.
