Sheikh Khazali congratulates the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan on its fiftieth anniversary and praises its struggle against dictatorship.
The General Secretary of the Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq, His Eminence Sheikh Qais Khazali, extended on Saturday, his warmest congratulations to Mr. Bafel Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, and to all members of the leadership and all-party cadres, on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the founding of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan.
In a post on the Aks platform, Sheikh Khazali said that this occasion represents “an honorable milestone in the history of the Kurdish and Iraqi national movement,” praising the significant role played by the late President Jalal Talabani and his comrades in confronting the regime of tyranny and dictatorship, and the enormous sacrifices they made for the sake of freedom, dignity, and justice.
His Eminence expressed his hope that the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan’s struggle would achieve further success and progress, serving just national causes and achieving the lofty goals for which the party has long strived.
