Al-Halawi: The prime premiership is a constitutional right for the largest Shiite component, and we will not allow it to be taken away.

Habib al-Halawi, head of the Sadiqoon parliamentary, affirmed on Sunday that attempts to promote the idea of ​​stripping the prime premiership from the largest Shiite component will not succeed, emphasizing that this national right cannot be compromised.
Al-Halawi said in a press statement, “Those who promote the idea of ​​stripping the prime ministership from the largest Shiite component are not just dreamers or delusional. We tell them clearly: The brown-headed are the ones who rule Iraq, not only because they constitute the majority, but also because they are the ones who have offered their precious blood in Mosul, Anbar, and all over the country, to preserve Iraq’s unity and sovereignty”.
Al-Halawi added, “The sons of this component are the ones who look after the interests of all components, not those who fled abroad and disavowed the homeland in times of hardship”.
