Al-Halawi: The Kurdistan Region’s disregard for constitutional obligations exacerbates the crisis and burdens citizens with burdens they are not to blame for.
Habib al-Halawi, head of the Sadiqoon parliamentary, confirmed on Monday that the Kurdistan Regional Government’s continued disregard for its constitutional obligations, particularly those related to sovereign revenues from oil, customs, and taxes, exacerbates the economic crisis and increases the burden on citizens who are not to blame for what is happening.
Al-Halawi said in a post on the “X” platform, “His Eminence Sheikh Qais Khazali’s speech was a sincere call to address the core of the problem between the center and the region through dialogue, understanding, and adherence to the law”.
Al-Halawi also stressed that the people of Kurdistan are an integral part of the Iraqi people, and it is the duty of the Sadiqoon to defend their rights, which the regional government has obstructed.
