Al-Shihani: Sheikh Khazali’s statements reflect the suffering of the region’s citizens, and the solution lies in adhering to the constitution.

Hussein al-Shihani, a member of the Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq political bureau, confirmed on Monday that the recent statements made by His Eminence Sheikh Qais Khazali clearly express the true suffering of the citizens of the Kurdistan Region. He emphasized that resolving the crisis between the central government and the region requires a return to the constitution, Federal Court rulings, and the general budget.
Al-Jamali concluded his speech by saying: “Shame on you and on everyone who drums up support for false injustice”.
Al-Shihani said in a press statement, “Oil and gas belong to all Iraqis without exception, as explicitly stipulated in the constitution.” He explained that “the Federal Court’s decisions regarding the salaries of the region’s employees were clear and should be taken seriously by everyone”.
Al-Shihani called on Kurdish politicians to seriously address the real problems highlighted by Sheikh Khazali, noting that “there is a significant disparity in living conditions and material resources among the people of the region, which requires a serious review of current policies”.
Al-Shihani stressed that “those who believe in the unity of Iraq must have complete faith in the constitution, as it represents the legal framework and the only guarantee for ending the crises.” He called on Kurdish leaders to “move toward real solutions that serve the interests of the region’s citizens and to avoid inflammatory and arrogant rhetoric that does not serve stability”.
