Al-Amiri: Sheikh Khazali’s call for the regional government expresses national concern and emphasizes the need to adhere to the constitution.

Member of the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee, Hussein Hashim Al-Ameri, affirmed on Tuesday that the call of His Eminence Sheikh Qais Khazali to the Kurdistan Regional Government regarding the rights of Kurdish employees is sincere and reflects a national concern.
Al-Amiri said in a press statement that “adherence to the Federal Court’s decisions, as well as respect for the law and the constitution, is essential for all parties,” stressing the importance of “resorting to dialogue to resolve outstanding issues and avoiding the emotional statements issued by some Kurdish officials, which would complicate the situation.” He expressed his hope that “the Kurdish citizen will not be a victim of these tensions”.
Al-Amiri called for “achieving justice in the distribution of wealth between the Kurdistan Region and the oil-producing, poorer central and southern provinces,” considering that “Sheikh Qais Khazali’s call represents a sincere national stance that reflects a commitment to the rights of all citizens without discrimination”.
Al-Amiri also stressed the “need not to involve Kurdish citizens in political conflicts or positions that are not based on the constitution and the law,” asserting that “the solution lies in returning to dialogue and resorting to constitutional texts”.
