Al-Jamali: The Kurdistan Region has not committed to delivering its revenues, and the budget is suffering from a deficit due to its violations.

Ali Turki al-Jamali, a member of the Sadiqoon, confirmed on Wednesday that the actions of His Eminence Sheikh Qais Khazali stem from a national Iraqi motive that encompasses all governorates. He emphasized that the Sadiqoon positions and actions are based on religious and national mandates.
“There is a tyrannical and thieving gang in the Kurdistan Region,” Al-Jamali said during a televised interview, adding that “the Kurdistan Democratic Party has created many problems with the Federal Court”.
He pointed out that “the region has not adhered to any of the understandings or commitments to the federal government, and has not delivered a single dollar of its revenues to Baghdad,” considering that “the ruling family in the region is the Barzani family, and it controls the region’s fate and economy”.
Al-Jamali explained that “the general budget is suffering from a deficit due to the region’s failure to deliver its revenues,” blaming Baghdad for “the burden of debts that have accumulated on the region due to the policies of its rulers”.
He added that “the crises in the region will not end as long as the mentality of its rulers remains the same,” noting that “the Kurds only approach the government and parties in Baghdad when they are experiencing crises or are politically suffocated”.
Al-Jamali also noted that “the region is constitutionally and legally obligated to hand over all Iraqi state rights to Baghdad,” emphasizing the need to end the region’s financial and administrative abuses against the central government.
