Habib al-Halawi, head of the Sadiqoon parliamentary, affirmed on Wednesday that the victory achieved by the Islamic Republic of Iran over the Zionist entity was achieved thanks to the strong will of His Eminence, the Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. He emphasized that the region is currently experiencing a state of victory that should be capitalized on by preparing for a new battle with the enemy. Al-Halawi said in his speech during his participation in the mass rally organized by the Sadiqoon in the Mahmoudiya district, south of Baghdad, to celebrate the victories of the Islamic Republic of Iran over the occupying Zionist entity: “We are in an era of raising our heads and walking in the most sublime forms of splendor, and the victories we are witnessing today are the fruit of the sacrifices of the axis of resistance and the steadfastness of the Islamic Republic. Al-Halawi added, “Iraq is safe with the Popular Mobilization Forces, and Islam is safe with the Islamic Republic.” He pointed out that there are American and Zionist plans, led by both Trump and Netanyahu, aimed at occupying Iraq and overthrowing the Islamic Republic, calling on national forces to take the initiative in confronting these threats. Al-Halawi also conveyed the greetings of Sheikh Qais Khazali to the Iraqi people and the resistance axis, noting the launch of what he called the “electoral battle” starting today. He called on honorable people to bring the Popular Mobilization Forces to Parliament, as they are the true guarantee of protecting the nation and its identity. Al-Halawi stressed the importance of bringing the voice of the people to parliament to foil the enemy’s plans. He stated that if the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) do not win, a normalization law will be passed and fundamental laws, such as the Personal Status Law, will be repealed. He asserted that the presence of PMF representatives in parliament is a safety valve for our religion, our women, and our children.
