On Tuesday the Secretary-General of the Asa’ib Ahlu Al-Haq movement Sheikh Qais Khazali called the government to take urgent actions to meet and secure the citizens’ needs, and support the most affected segments by the high foodstuff prices.
His Eminence also stated in a tweet ‘ the suffering of our people is increasing on daily basis as a result of the rise in foodstuff prices, and so far we have not seen any serious actions to stop this suffering
His eminence also emphasized that the current crisis must push the government to take urgent actions to meet and secure the citizens’ needs, and support the most affected groups and the means to do that are various and applicable it only needs sincere and honest intentions to give a helping hand.
Furthermore he stressed the necessity to change the equation which always results in the Iraqi population becoming the only ones affected by the economic situation and the oil prices volatility and the last ones to benefit of it all.
