Al-Salhiy reveals the most prominent files awaiting the new Speaker of Parliament … The most prominent of which is the removal of American forces.

The representative of the Al- Sadiqoon parliamentary bloc, Rafiq Al-Salhiy, confirmed On Tuesday, the intention of the political forces to present several files before the next Speaker of Parliament, indicating that activating the decision to withdraw American forces is a top priority for parliamentary work.
Al-Salhiy said in a press interview, “Article 58 stipulates that the President of the Republic, the Prime Minister, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, or fifty members of the Council may call the House of Representatives to an extraordinary session, and the meeting shall be limited to the issues that necessitated the invitation to it”.
He added that “preserving sovereignty and removing foreign forces are the most prominent demands of the political forces from the new president,” pointing out that “there is popular and political support for taking a positive step in this regard”.
He pointed out the importance of “neutralizing foreign forces from Iraqi territory due to the United States’ continued violations of Iraqi security and the rules of international law, including the recent bombing of the Popular Mobilization Forces”.
