The General Secretary of the Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq, His Eminence Sheikh Qais Khazali, condemned today (Sunday) the offensive statements against the Great Messenger (may God bless him and his family and grant them peace) by one of the figures affiliated with the Yazidi component. While stressing the need to take legal measures to punish the one who issued the insult, he called for not exploiting those statements to incite against the Yazidi people.
Sheikh Al-Khazaali said in a post on the “X” platform that what was issued by one of the figures affiliated with the Yazidi component, of transgression against the Noble Prophet (may God bless him and his family), is something that is completely rejected, and legal measures must be taken to punish whoever issued the insult.
His Eminence added, on the other hand, that exploiting these statements as a means to spread hate speech against our Yazidi people and incite against them is something that is absolutely rejected, and we cannot accept it at all, especially after the Yazidi community took the initiative to disavow it.
His Eminence stressed that our Yazidi people have suffered a lot from genocide and discriminatory policies, and that it is their right as original Iraqi citizens to feel safe in their country, and that we do not allow incitement against them or harming them, from any party. The suffering they have been subjected to at the hands of the terrorist ISIS and the attempts of extremist groups to eradicate their existence is enough for them.
Sheikh Al-Khazaali considered that harming or inciting against the Yazidis is a threat to the Iraqi social fabric and civil peace.
