Al-Hilali calls for forming an independent body to manage the millions of visits to the holy shrines in Iraq.
The representative of the Sadiqoon bloc, Ibtisam Al-Hilali, called today (Tuesday) on the federal government to form an independent body to manage the millions of visits witnessed by the governorates of Karbala, Najaf and Baghdad.
Al-Hilali said in a press interview, “The House of Representatives has asked the government for years to form an independent body to manage religious visits”.
She added, “The holy shrines and thresholds witness the influx of millions of people from inside and outside Iraq”.
She pointed out that “Karbala Governorate receives millions of visitors who visit the shrines of Imam Hussein and Imam Abbas (peace be upon them)”.
