The Al-Sadiqoon parliamentary condemned today (Monday) the failure of the Iraqi representative to withdraw from the United Nations General Assembly meeting during the speech of the President of the Zionist entity, Benjamin Netanyahu, considering that this behavior is not consistent with Iraq’s position rejecting normalization or attendance at international forums in which representatives of the entity are present.
In a statement, the Sadiqoun Bloc expressed its strong condemnation of the failure of the Iraqi representative, Ms. Sahar Al-Qaisi, to withdraw during the United Nations General Assembly meeting, during the speech of the usurping Zionist entity’s president, Benjamin Netanyahu, at a time when most representatives of the world’s countries that reject the crimes of this entity and its aggressive practices have withdrawn.
Al Sadiqoun considered that this behavior is absolutely inconsistent with the official and popular position of Iraq, which has always clearly declared its rejection of any form of normalization or presence in international forums in which representatives of this illegitimate entity are present.
The statement indicated that Iraq’s historical position, based on supporting the Palestinian people and their legitimate rights, does not allow overlooking such positions, which are considered an unjustified concession and do not represent the will of the Iraqi people.
The Sadiqoon also called on the Iraqi government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to clarify their official position on this behavior, and to hold accountable anyone who causes such abuses to Iraq’s image before the international community, stressing its firm and supportive position on the rights of the Palestinian people and its rejection of any normalization or dealing with this entity that practices occupation and terrorism against Arab and Islamic peoples.
