Saad Al-Saadi, a member of the political bureau of the Sadiqoon, confirmed today (Thursday) that there is no room for an external threat considering Iraq’s field readiness.
Al-Saadi said in a press interview, “Iraq has a strong and advanced security system that makes the issue of external threats completely unlikely”.
He explained that “the Iraqi armed forces and the Popular Mobilization Forces, in addition to the significant development in security and military capabilities, are key factors in ensuring the stability and security of the country”.
He pointed out that “the security situation in Iraq has witnessed a significant improvement compared to 2014, when the country faced serious external threats represented by the ISIS project”.
He added, “Iraq today enjoys advanced field, training and logistical capabilities, which enhance the readiness of the security forces and the Popular Mobilization Forces to confront any potential threat”.
He stressed that “the resistance factions represent a national situation that arose to confront the occupation in all its forms,” noting that “their role ends automatically when the occupying forces leave Iraqi territory”.
He stressed that “these factions express a popular will that strengthens national sovereignty and is not subject to any external authority,” indicating that “Iraq today enjoys strong security immunity that keeps it away from any external threat thanks to the cohesion of its armed forces and the role of the Popular Mobilization Forces in protecting the country”.
