The head of the Al-Sadiqoon parliamentary, Dr. Habib Al-Halawi, confirmed on Wednesday that the bloc has adopted the Popular Mobilization Law, noting that this law will be on the agenda of the House of Representatives after the end of the Rajab visit.
Al-Halawi called on Shiite MPs in a televised statement to rally around this law and hold a special session to vote on it, considering that supporting the Popular Mobilization Forces is a national duty.
Al-Halawi pointed out that the Popular Mobilization Law has a purely national and Iraqi character, and represents an important step to support the Popular Mobilization Institution, which has made sacrifices for the sake of Iraq’s security.
He added, “A representative who is not honored to serve and support the Popular Mobilization Forces cannot be considered Iraqi”.
In the context of his speech, Al-Halawi considered that the Sudanese Prime Minister’s statements about merging the factions indicate that these factions have good and excellent performance, which reflects their importance as an essential part of the security and national system.
Al-Halawi concluded by saying: “Our culture of resistance and our hatred of America and Israel is part of our identity until the appearance of Imam al-Hujjah (peace be upon him).” In confirmation of the bloc’s commitment to the path of resistance and defending Iraq’s sovereignty.
