Al-Moussawi denounces the suspension of the service and retirement law for members of the Popular Mobilization Forces … Reiterating his supportive stance on the rights of the Mujahideen.

The representative of the Sadiqoon, Ahmed Al-Moussawi, condemned on Friday, the withdrawal and suspension of the service and retirement law for members of the Popular Mobilization Forces after completing its discussion and voting on it unanimously within the Security and Defense Committee, in addition to reading it first and second readings within the House of Representatives.
Al-Moussawi confirmed in a post on the “X” platform that the law was presented in more than one session to vote on it to become effective, wondering about the reasons that led to its suspension, saying: “By what right is the law withdrawn? Is it reasonable that the continued presence of the head of the authority, who has exceeded the legal age, is more important than the rights of more than 250,000 Mujahideen in the Popular Mobilization Forces?”
he pointed out that suspending this law represents an infringement on the rights of the families of martyrs in the Popular Mobilization Authority, warning against exploiting job grades as a means to achieve political gains at the expense of the rights of the Mujahideen and their families.
He added that if the martyr leader Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis had been present, he would not have allowed the blood of martyrs and mujahideen to be exploited, and would have stood firmly against any attempt to ignore their legitimate rights.
Al-Moussawi stressed that his position is firm in defending the rights of the heroes of the Popular Mobilization Forces and ensuring their justice, rejecting any worthless justifications for suspending the law.
Al-Moussawi also held the Parliament Presidency responsible for its silence regarding these violations, stressing that suspending important laws represents a violation of the role of the Legislative Council and its responsibilities towards the Iraqi people.
