Mohammed al-Baldawi, spokesman for the Sadiqoon, confirmed on Tuesday that the brutal crimes being committed against civilians in Syria, particularly members of the Alawite sect, are more heinous than what the Mongols did in Baghdad.
Al-Baldawi said in a press statement, “The massacres and crimes committed in Syria under the pretext of targeting henchmen of the former regime are not merely violations, but barbaric acts in every sense of the word, and even more”.
He added, “The videos the world is watching documenting these crimes and violations against humanity committed by al-Julani’s terrorist gangs are more brutal than what the Mongols did in Baghdad and what the Haganah perpetrated in occupied Palestine”.
He pointed out that “hundreds of videos circulating document the atrocities committed by al-Julani’s gangs, particularly against children, revealing the true face of this group after it attempted to conceal itself with civilian garb”.
Al-Baldawi stressed “the need for the international community to take action to stop these violations, calling on the UN Security Council to intervene urgently to put an end to these crimes, hold the perpetrators accountable, and prosecute them legally”.
