The General Secretary of the Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq, His Eminence Sheikh Qais Khazali, received today (Wednesday) His Excellency the Russian Ambassador to Iraq, Mr. Elbrus Kotrashev.
A statement from Sheikh Khazali’s media office stated that the meeting discussed international and regional developments, particularly the ongoing situation in Syria and the painful events taking place in the coastal regions. The meeting also addressed the latest developments in the war between Russia and Ukraine.
The Russian ambassador also praised the tenth meeting of the Iraqi-Russian Committee for Trade, Economic, and Scientific-Technical Cooperation, which was attended by the Russian Minister of Energy, stressing the importance of strengthening relations between the two countries.
For his part, the Ambassador expressed his gratitude to His Eminence Sheikh Al-Khazali for his interest and diligent follow-up of developments and bilateral relations.
