The General Secretary of the Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq, His Eminence Sheikh Qais Khazali, confirmed on Sunday that the confrontation between the Palestinian resistance and the Israeli enemy since October 7 revealed the truth about the balance of profit and loss in this war, noting that the enemy achieved tactical gains but suffered heavy strategic losses.
Sheikh Khazali said during a televised interview that all the strategic goals announced by the Israeli entity were not achieved, whether in Gaza or Lebanon, as it failed to eliminate the Hamas movement and recover its prisoners, and it was also unable to impose its control over the south of the Litani River due to the heroic resistance of Hezbollah.
His Eminence pointed out that the Israeli aggression caused killing, destruction and genocide, but did not achieve its declared goals, while the Jews lost the claims they were exploiting about “victimhood”, and the falsehood of Western values related to human rights and freedom of expression was exposed, which greatly affected the credibility of the Western system even within its own countries, as is evident in the student movement in American and European universities.
His Eminence stressed that the Palestinian cause is a battle of right and wrong that has been ongoing since 1948, as the Arab armies were unable to achieve clear victories in their three wars, while the resistance was able to achieve tangible achievements from the 1980s until 2006, stressing that the war is not over yet.
Speaking about attempts to stir up sectarian conflicts, Sheikh Al-Khazaali stressed that those who promote terms such as “Sunni-Shiite” are media tools linked to the Israeli and Western systems, stressing that Islam unites all who testify that there is no god but God and that Muhammad is the Messenger of God, and that defending the causes of Muslims is a duty for everyone.
His Eminence added that the Shiites’ support for the Gaza issue does not stem from sectarian considerations, but rather is an authentic Islamic position, based on the principles established by the Messenger of God (may God bless him and his family) and his family (peace be upon them), as the Shiite school was founded on the principle of supporting the oppressed, a culture embodied in the personality of the Commander of the Faithful Ali (peace be upon him) and the Master of Martyrs Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), who sacrificed himself for the sake of reform and truth.
Sheikh Al-Khazali also stressed that the path of resistance is a path of sacrifices, saying: “This path was led by martyrs and its martyrs are leaders, and this is a natural law for those who walk the path of truth”.
At the end of his speech, His Eminence stressed that the Iraqi people are known for their tolerance, and that the Shiites learn this tolerance from their imams, stressing that they have no hostility towards anyone, but they will not hesitate to defend themselves in the face of any threat, regardless of its source.
