Sheikh Khazali Change in Syria is a foreign political project led by Türkiye with American and Israeli support.

The General Secretary of the Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq, His Eminence Sheikh Qais Khazali, confirmed on Sunday that what is happening in Syria is not a national change, but rather a foreign political project led by Turkey and supported by the United States of America and the Israeli entity, explaining that this change was implemented with military tools and not through political or democratic means.
Sheikh Khazali said during a televised interview that the political system in Syria is internationally recognized, and that the Syrian state has behaved in an acceptable manner with its people, considering that what is happening in Syria is a military coup, as no agreement has yet been reached on a new constitution, and no real national reconciliation conference has been held that could form the basis for the country’s stability.
Regarding the invitation of the former leader of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and current Syrian President Abu Muhammad al-Julani to the Baghdad summit, Sheikh Khazali stressed that Iraq has a government and a political decision that is taken according to the state administration coalition, asking: “If all Arab countries have recognized this matter, will Iraq remain a spectator”?
His Eminence also pointed out the security role played by Iraq in light of regional changes, stressing that there is a Shiite component that may be subjected to persecution, and that the Iraqi government is obligated to defend it and protect its interests.
Regarding the legal files against Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa, Sheikh al-Khazali stressed that there are issues that must be settled before any step, considering that inviting a wanted person to the judiciary is unacceptable, and that the government must find a legal solution to this issue first.
