Sheikh Khazali demands that the fate of the martyrs’ bodies be revealed and that the perpetrators be punished severely … On the anniversary of the Speicher massacre.

The General Secretary of the Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq, His Eminence Sheikh Qais al-Khazali, commemorated on Thursday, the painful anniversary of the Speicher massacre, emphasizing that this tragedy remains the deepest wound in the body of Iraq, which has suffered decades of killing and destruction, and faced the brutality of the Saddam regime, foreign occupation, and takfiri terrorist gangs.
In a statement on the occasion, Sheikh Al-Khazali said that the Iraqi people have made great sacrifices of which they are proud, and whose wounds still bear witness to their steadfastness. He pointed out that the Speicher massacre, in which more than 1,700 innocent Iraqi youth were killed, represents a deep, unhealed wound, perpetrated by criminal hands that do not belong to humanity, Islam, or Arabism. The only sin of those youths was their faith and loyalty to the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), and their belief in the treacherous promises of “human monsters”.
Sheikh Al-Khazali offered his condolences on this anniversary to the Master of the Age (may God hasten his reappearance), the honorable religious authorities, the patient Iraqi people, and the families of the murdered martyrs, affirming the movement’s full solidarity with their demands and rights.
His Eminence called on the relevant authorities to exert greater efforts to uncover the bodies of the martyrs that have not yet been discovered, and to compensate their families in a manner commensurate with the magnitude of the loss. He also called for expediting the completion of judicial files, imposing the harshest penalties on those involved in the crime, and pursuing those who have fled.
Sheikh Al-Khazali concluded by praying that God may have mercy on the martyrs and grant their families patience and solace, saying, “To God we belong and to Him we shall return”.
