Sheikh Al-Khazali said in his speech on the occasion of “Resistant Martyr Day” that the fatwa of jihad against the terrorist organization ISIS was an epic in which the resistance fighters presented martyrs daily, indicating that this pure blood was not wasted, but rather resulted in the liberation of Iraq from the filth of terrorism.
His Eminence pointed out that the martyrs achieved their goal, because whoever takes the path of resistance seeks to attain martyrdom as a lofty goal, noting that the martyred leaders were not just fighters, but rather they were managing the battles and achieving victories and gains.
His Eminence added that the path of the martyrs is still ongoing, especially after the martyrdom of great leaders such as Hajj Qassem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, who gave their lives after the end of the war against ISIS, which indicates that the struggle with the enemies has not stopped.
His Eminence stressed that the martyrs who fell on the path to liberating Jerusalem did not end their project with their martyrdom, but rather achieving their goals became the responsibility of those who remained among the resistance fighters, affirming that those who walk on this path did not weaken despite the losses.
Sheikh Al-Khazali explained that the hostility between the front of truth and falsehood is an eternal conflict, and that the resistance will continue as long as there is an enemy lying in wait for this nation, stressing that the war is not over, and that the enemy cannot claim that it has won, because it did not succeed in eliminating the resistance movements, was not able to recover its prisoners, and did not achieve a real victory in Lebanon.
His Eminence also considered that killing leaders does not mean the victory of the enemy, citing history that proved that Yazid did not defeat Imam Hussein (PBUH), but rather the project of Hussein (PBUH) triumphed, which became a beacon for the free in every time and place.
His Eminence explained that the blood of the martyred engineer (may God be pleased with him) instilled the values of sacrifice and jihad in the souls of an entire generation, so that they would continue on the path to victory. At the same time, he expressed his regret for the lack of educational curricula in the Iraqi state that shed light on the sacrifices of the martyrs and the culture of resistance.
His Eminence continued, saying that the two martyrs, Soleimani and Al-Muhandis (may God be pleased with them), have become an educational school, and that the martyr Hassan Nasrallah will become a symbol and icon for future generations, and that the school of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) is the foundation that created generations of mujahideen who responded to the fatwa of the religious authority.
At the end of his speech, Sheikh Al-Khazali stressed that Iraq was and still is the country of mujahideen and revolutionaries, as it is the country that witnessed the largest number of revolutions and uprisings in the region, stressing that there are real men who are keen on Iraq, its people and its dignity, and that the path of resistance will continue until the final victory is achieved.
